Ear plugs

It's not so much the car itself.
I don't mind driving around for the day listening to the engine whine or enjoying the exhaust, and can put up with road noise.
I don't use earplugs every time I get in the car
But for a long road trip driving multiple 6-8 hours a day, that noise is fatiguing.
And, we're not using normal ear plugs that completely block all sound.
These are specific made earplugs that Subdue only the majority of Constant noise like wind, tire, road, and Traffic noise while still being able to carry on a conversation with someone, or listen to music.
YMMV but it's not all or nothing

Not true. Law was changed.
VEHICLE CODE
SECTION 27400
"(d) A person wearing personal hearing protectors in the form of
earplugs or molds that are specifically designed to attenuate
injurious noise levels. The plugs or molds shall be designed in a
manner so as to not inhibit the wearer's ability to hear a siren or
horn from an emergency vehicle or a horn from another motor vehicle."
I wear some silicone custom ones all the time. The police don't pay one bit of attention.

Heel & Toe
On hwy trips in my C7 I use over-the-ear headphones [legal in Texas] plugged into a portable radio with CD player. Anyone ever heard of a replacement dash radio with CD player and Headphone jack? Thanks much. EddieA

Ones that fit inside your ears and don't get displaced by your helmet. Howard Leight, Hero, and 3M are some of the brands available. Take a look at this webpage - https://www.coopersafety.com/earplugs-noise-reduction.
I tend to use NRR 30DB or higher plugs. Trying to save what little hearing I have left!

SOP for bikes, if one cares about long-term hearing. Certainly adding more and louder "noise" makes no sense in that regard.
I wonder about some sort of noise cancelling options. Andy Green says that it thoroughly transforms driving the Bloodhound rocket car at Mach 1+ speeds, so couldn't hurt in a C7.

Back in my days before my Streetglide with a fairing and awesome aftermarket stereo I used to use Shure noise canceling earbuds. Block out all the wind noise and the music sounds amazing through them. I have never used or thought about using them in any kinds of cars, def not the C7. Had cars much louder and never needed any. Maybe if you need plugs in a car its time for a Lexus, Mercedes or something more fitting than a Corvette.

Yeah, cement roads are the worst
Check out these .. www.earpeace.com
I bought the HD ones. Pack of 3 and bought 2 packs so have 3 sets.
They have a hollow cylinder in the center of the earplug to let some sound in but still block out anything too loud.
Also come with 2 "different" center pieces for more or less sound.
Used by Musicians and Motorcyclists etc
I've used them a few times on long trips.
