Default Navigation update

I have a 2015 Z06 Vette and a 2014 Chevy Silverado. Both have GM Navigation systems. I wonder if anyone knows if the same update would work with both vehicles? They certainly look and work the same way.

Pretty sure it's coded to the electronic SN of the unit. (as in you plug in the usb, it loads, reads the SN of the Nav, an then codes the update to that SN).

When you order the update you are required to enter the VIN of the car you're updating. GM says they customize the USB to your specific VIN, so I don't think it will work.

No it won’t work on both vehicles.

As stated, the update is keyed to a VIN in the C7.
