Car off, key not present
Okay, so sometimes when I go out to the garage and open the driver's door of my 2014 Stingray, the chimes will ring. Other times they will not. In either case, the key remote is nowhere near (like in a whole other building). Why will the chimes go off sometimes and sometimes they don't?

You might want to keep track of if/when the car honks at you when you exit. If the car thinks the fob was in the car upon exiting, even though it may lock, it will chime at you when you next enter the car.
Other things can make the car chime upon entering, but this seems to be the most common reason.
