Yes, it does have MSRC and Performance Traction Management (PTM). FE4 is the Z51 and GS version of MSRC. FE2 is the base car version of MSRC without PTM. FE6/7 is the Z06 version. FE1 is no MSRC.
I have 2017 Z51 without MSRC, this is what I purchase. With that being said...I like what I have, I've heard many say MSRC is must have, I wouldn't let that steer anyone away from not purchasing Corvette. I absolutely love the ride I get. I don't think at any moment its a harsh ride, for me it's a sports car feel, I actually thought after hearing MSRC is a must, I wouldn't like the suspension...but I do....peace
FE3 is a great suspension, and not overly harsh in my view, but it is a firm sports car suspension all the time.
The reason so many people say MSRC is a "must have" is that you have both sports car and softer touring car suspensions in the same car w/ a flick of the dial.

Reason I think it's a "must have" is because it gets so much firmer. I don't really care about it being softer. Z51 is great on the street. I got mag ride for the track.

The salesman was trying to tell me that since it had the "mode dial"; that meant it had MSRC. I told him he was wrong. He then continued to tell me he had been selling Vettes for 18 years and blah, blah, blah. I kindly informed him that it needed to have the FE4,B4Z build code... And wires coming from the top of the shocks. I think he needs to become more informed on what he is selling I do not think I will be mKing a purchase with them.

I agree. I have the same setup on my 2018 and to my feel, it is just right. I wouldn't want it any softer, even for a road trip.

Have you driven a Z51 (FE3 suspension) w/o MSRC? It's much firmer than the Z51 w/ MSRC (FE4) in Tour mode. The FE3 is most like FE4 in Sport mode all the time. FE4 is softer in Tour and firmer in Track (either in standard Track or Sport2 and Race PTM), so you were half right.
The beauty of MSRC is to be able to accommodate to both road conditions, and what you're using the car for with a turn of the dial. I like all the MSRC modes, but I like being able to have both a softer ride or a firmer ride depending upon what I'm doing, and the pavement conditions.
It's also a must have because of PTM, which you can't get w/o MSRC, and when you're in Track/PTM wet, it's in Tour mode, which is much softer than the FE3 suspension.
You should talk to Mike Levitas at DSC about the benefits of a softer suspension on the track sometimes. He should know having won his class at the 24 Hrs. of Daytona and many other IMSA championships.
^ and it's a misconception when some think it's just about the ride being Softer or Firmer.
MSRC is a Handling package, and with MSRC, the improvement in Handling is very noticeable compared to without MSRC.
And Yes, the DSC Controller is a game changer

2014 Z51 w/o Magnetic Ride. I like it. It's a sports car!
