Default Roof/Cargo Cover

Thinking about getting cargo cover. Can I still store my roof with the cover installed?

Just watched a couple of videos...seems there's no issue. Thanks!

Yes it will. I have the cloth 2 piece cargo cover and you can store the top with the cargo cover installed. Just make sure that your top is clean when you store it. If it is dirty, the dirt may rub against the cloth and cause scratches.

I remove the top frequently and the 2 piece cover is never in the way. I also have a trunk partition and that too is not a problem.

I always forget to mention this when reading top storage threads. I learned quickly on my '14 Z51, to be very slow/precise putting the fwd edge of the top into the slots when storing it. Within a few months happened to noticed front edge (where it enters the slots on the sides) paint had begun to wear thru. Quickly corrected my procedures & no further wear. On my '16 Z, I haven't had that problem since I had already learned my lesson!

Seems that the hooks under the cargo mat would be an issue with the cover that's closest to the seats.

I have a rubber WeatherTech Cargo mat in the back of my C7. I was not going to cut the mat to get access to the rings for the cargo cover. I just let the cargo cover hang without attaching to the hooks. It still attaches at the top and looks fine. It works for me.

If I don't want things flying around from the back to the front, I put them in my cargo net and still can put the top in the back.
