VIN lookup?
I see the vin decoder on here which is useful for getting the options,
but is there a way to see if there is a warranty block or anything else if I have the VIN, besides contacting the dealer?

Yes, GMGlobalConnect will tell you this. All of the GM salespeople have access to it, but the public doesn't. If you have a friend at a dealership, they can check it for you.
But no public similar lookup. I had a working password for about 6 months but not anymore!
