My wife and I are retiring in 5 years (actually, 4 years and 8 months but who's counting?), so I want to make my C7 last a very long time!
I call myself retired after more than 40 years with the same company.
I stopped working last October. Almost a year ago. I find for me it is more not working for someone else than retired.
Best thing I ever did go out a little early.

Retired sounds like your sitting around and just enjoying life but not for me after working 7 days a week for a long time.

Really I'm more swamped with work to do than ever. I got more done this year and advanced my worth more than working everyday trying to make a 100k.

I do get to set my own hours and day's off where you say Fark it! ! But it will be even better when I get my retirement first check. Just signed up today it starts 11-30

Dave, Would you believe me if I said that my '18 Z06 is going to be my last Corvette?
BTW...nice trunk mat and I too like to keep everything factory original.

Oh, nonsense! You're only 52? I could be your father! I'm calling you out, you liar! You'll have a C8 and a C9 before you are done--in red, of course. And I hope I live to see them both.

Thanks BELVIN20, but I ordered one that is on my window sticker . I did not install it because I did not want to use the Velcro tape because if you decide to take it off it peels the black paint off the inside deck lid. I learned the hard way when someone installed one on my 2003 50TH VERT that I tried to remove.

That velcro doesn't work anyway. I re-installed mine with Gorilla Glue! That sucker is NEVER coming off now!

So I will be hanging out in the C7 section for a long long time after many of you guys go to the C8 and C9 section of the forum.
I bought my Last Corvette at age 61 as a retirement present to myself and wife.

Then I bought my Last Corvette at age 64 after the previous got hit and I didn't trust it afterwards.

Finally I bought my Last Corvette this Spring at age 71.
Maybe.

Thank You and it is a done deal even though some others say I will buy another. No offense but I think I know myself better than forum members that I have never even met.
