After the others have moved onto C8s and C9s, it'll be you and me in here for a while Dave! 
I'm younger than you, at 47, but my 2018 is probably going to be my last Corvette for a long while. My wife and I are retiring in 5 years (actually, 4 years and 8 months but who's counting?), so I want to make my C7 last a very long time!

I find for me it is more not working for someone else than retired.
Best thing I ever did go out a little early.
Retired sounds like your sitting around and just enjoying life but not for me after working 7 days a week for a long time.
Really I'm more swamped with work to do than ever. I got more done this year and advanced my worth more than working everyday trying to make a 100k.
I do get to set my own hours and day's off where you say Fark it! !
But it will be even better when I get my retirement first check. Just signed up today it starts 11-30

That velcro doesn't work anyway. I re-installed mine with Gorilla Glue! That sucker is NEVER coming off now!

Honestly B&B it is unless I crash it up or it is a mechanical nightmare. I am 52 and took out a 5 year loan so at 57 when the loan is paid I don't want anymore payments after that.This is my 12th and really last for me. So I will be hanging out in the C7 section for a long long time after many of you guys go to the C8 and C9 section of the forum.
