Default Don't you just love your C7?

So a few days ago I got about 6 inches of snow just south of Denver. Poor me I couldn't drive the vet and had to drive the Yukon instead. Well today is going to be in the mid 70's and it's definitely a vet day.

I don't know what it is, but there something so sexy about the C7 when you drive it on a nice day. The rumble of the exhaust, the stereo system being able to pump out some serious power, the responsiveness of the throttle and steering, and then there is just the look of the car going light speed as it's sitting there. Nothing like driving a race car to work.

Okay happy post over

But it's storming in S FL. So the car stays in the garage. I would not want it to melt!!

YES I DO!!! I had a pretty nice 2015 Mustang GT that I really enjoyed, but last winter was pretty bad so I traded it in and got an all-wheel-drive Ford Escape. The Escape was great....then the weather got nice and I really missed having something sporty. I looked for a nice used Vette at Carmax, but everything that was nice was either a snow belt car or in Florida and had $1100 transfer fee. Well, Labor Day rolled around and so did some nice incentives from GM. I'm glad to report that I was able to purchase a new 2018 Stingray and I can't even believe how much better the Vette is at everything compared to the Mustang GT. Even though the HP difference is only 20HP, it feels more like 100HP difference. The acceleration, handling, braking, ride quality are so superior to the GT I can't believe it. I've owned 3 previous Vette's, all C4's. This car is so superior in every way it just blew me away.

Here's a photo of the old Mustang and my new baby.

In LA every day is a Vette day. Also, most every day is a Vette vert top down day.

I do like mine a lot, haven't had a lot of chance to drive it in the few months since purchase since other things happened in my life, but they are not permanent.

I love how the car just fits. Others complain about the cramped interior, but I thoroughly enjoy the way it's built. That plus the performance, handling, and looks...best car ever.

I thank my lucky stars I live where I do. Every day is a Corvette day! Let's hear it for Arizona! This is like an amusement park here compared to the rain I had to put up with for 8 months out of the year where I came from last April. Not that I was afraid to get the car wet, but it just isn't any fun driving in wet weather.

50 degrees in the frozen north but I drove it anyway. Best car I've ever owned. Had it 2 months and put 4000 miles on it.

I loved my C6 that I bought in 2005 and I love my C7 even more. But for a passenger car, I really love my 650ix also. Life is good.

Since we suffer in the Syracuse area with cold and over 120" of snow every winter, so I had to get a GM winter rat. Stayed with the black, black look, have an 8A to play with and a 6.2 with 40 less HP, but at least its fun factor is close to the Corvette in a different way LOL. And when I get it out in the spring -that new car feeling again!

Yes, my going on month old C7 is a fine automobile, but frankly if my 16 year old C5 were as rigid and tight as the C7, it would be my fave of the two.

I KICK myself I waited 3 years before buying a C7! Can't compare anywhere to my old C6 and for the guys who talk about the C5???? you got to be kidding me! This is the best driving and handling Corvette yet! I've had them from the C-3, C-4, C-5, C-6......you can't keep a straight face and say the C7 didn't RAISE THE BAR a lot higher!

Opinons like #@%%@# everyone has them! I love my C7!!!!!

I completely agree. There is nothing like driving a race car on the streets. As for bad weather this beast will not see rain. The truck gets that duty :-)

Let me be the first to say that I hate the new C8 and will never buy one. (this happens ever time a new generation comes out.)

Seriously though, I do love my C7 and I expect it to be my last new Vette. I am retiring in a couple of years so this is the last one for us and it is a hit!
