Please post Blackstone'd review of Amsoil Signature 5w30 for a daily driven c7 z51?
I've done a search on the forum for Blackstone reports for Amsoil Signature 5w30 in non-tracked, daily-driven dry sump motors but I haven't found anything specific to my curiosities... The only reports I could find were submitted by owners who've tracked their cars, modded the engine, or using a different brand/weight of oil.
If you've Blackstone'd Amsoil Sig 5w30 from a c7 z51 that's only driven as a daily driver, I'd sure like to see their report if you're willing to post it.
I filled mine with the Sig 5w30 and intend to submit a vial to Blackstone at ~7500 miles for review, but they claim I can go 15,000 miles (under "severe service") and even 25,000 miles (under "normal service"), so I don't know when I should start to wonder about checking at "50%" life.
Thank you.

You do realize that you are risking having your warranty voided. Amsoil is not Dexos approved. Also, GM requires the oil be changed at least yearly. The C7 OLM includes the time from last OLM reset in its calculation of oil life remaining. It will read zero at 1 year regardless of how little or how much it is driven.
I do not recall ever seeing a Blackstone analysis on Amsoil being posted in the C7 forum.

I'm going to spend $6X,XXX to $1XX,XXX on a C7 so that I can use an oil that's not approved and what - maybe save $100/year on oil after the free changes; or try to go an extra year or some period between changes; or?
Sorry OP, I don't get this one. More context might help. Or not.

Thanks, Guys. I guess I was reading the "wrong hype". I thought I was doing 'good' by going to a truly full synthetic... what was it called?? I forget--"level 4" classification oil--or something like that?
I made the decision to get off Mobil One based on just that; in fact, the Amsoil cost me ~$10 more per gallon. I was gonna Blackstone it at 7,500 miles because they said the Mobil One that I dropped could go to 9,000 miles (I dropped it at 8,000 just yesterday); I figured 7500 would be a good number to check the Amsoil TBNs for projected lifespan since it was supposedly so much better being "level 4" and 'one notch better' than the "level 3" Mobil One. But I wasn't savvy about the Dexos certification requirement... (yeah, I know--read the fn oil cap--but I thought a "100% synthetic" would trump M1 and never gave a thought to "dexos") I spent the last hour surfin' this forum parsing "Amsoil dexos" and learned enough to be convinced to drop the Amsoil out for use in my old truck... I guess it's Mobil One til the warranty's done.
Thanks again.

Some products have a cult like following and these are often MLM (multi-level marketing) distributed providing a financial incentive for the cultists.
Buying an expensive new product with an extensive warranty and then jeopardizing that warranty by not following the required maintenance schedule and/or not using specified fluids and materials makes no sense.

Amsoil did NOT pay the Dexos license fee,but does meet the specs.
To be Dexos approved.....an oil must 1:Meet the specs & 2:Pay the Dexos License fee.

Problem is, even if the oil is good enough, and COULD meet the specs, if they don't pay the Dexos fee, it's not warranty approved. I won't take that risk for my new C7, it'll be nothing but Mobil 1 and AC Delco filters for me.
