so day before yesterday I'm in my garage trying my low profile jack with a puck to make sure it will work when I change my brake pads this weekend. I set my car keys on something a couple feet from my car and forgot to take them with me when I left the garage. Went to use car last night and couldn't remember where I left my keys so I grabbed the second set and went to the garage. That's when I found the first set by the car so I get in with both fobs and push start and nothing happens. Try 3 times and nothing. I get out of the car and lock doors and try remote start. Car starts right up. No further issues since. Was it because I slightly lifted the front when I tested jack? I thought if it sensed tampering it would just honk horn and flash headlights to alert you.
Your fobs were touching each other or very close together causing interference.
Your fobs were very close to a cell phone with you causing interference.
Can you go back and duplicate strange occurrence of the no start by repeating all the steps from jacking up the car, forgetting key, getting second fob, etc.?
Finally got around to changing brake pads today. After having all 4 corners of the car jacked car did the same thing when starting. Obviously jacking has something to do with it or its a coincidence. Can't find anything in the owners manual that says this is by design.
