Default Long day

posted here a few months back that I was leaning toward buying a new vette as a retirement present. Pulled the trigger today. Got up a 5AM showered and left Va for Atlantic City NJ for Kerbeck Corvette. Had contacted them about a torch red Z06 manual trans they had just got in stock. So me and my buddy take off in my big red 4 wheel drive pu and away we go. 6 hours later arrived the dealership. 2 hours later, leaving new jersey with brand new Z06 2018 model year. Just got back home at 10PM. I am most happy the car is amazing, I still have my 2008 vette with Z51 package, so now I have 2, decisions, decisions. Oh well that is a story for another time. Keep you posted.

Congrats! Bet you got a lot better gas mileage coming back it the Vette than your 4 wheel drive truck! Good friend to make the trip with you and not have a new Vette to show for it!

The C7 is much better than my '08 C6 Z51, you'll enjoy. I made that drive from Kerbeck with my '08 and stoped in Richmond and stayed overnight with a friend before going all the way to SC.

For my Grand Sport was able to find a courtesy delivery dealer who accepted my Kerbeck purchase. Great folks to deal with.

Congrats, nice retirement present. The C-7 is an amazing car and it is light years ahead of the C-6. Enjoy

Nice! Had a similar experience on Thursday.
Bought my last 2 Corvettes from Kerbeck, but this time they didn't have what I wanted.
Drove up to MacMulkin in NH from NJ to get my Torch Red GS Vert M7.
Stayed overnight.
Both dealers are great to deal with. Would've gone back to Kerbeck, but like I said, they didn't have what I wanted.

Retirement, and a new Z06. It just doesn't get any better than that. Congratulations Pete, looking forward to the pictures.

I guess you will not be driving your new Z06 to work......

Congrats and enjoy your retirement and your new Z06.
