Default Take-out food fail....SMH

I’m sooooo annoyed and irritated with myself. I always..ALWAYS put the takeout food bag on the floor.

Went to get Waffle House this morning. Of all the friggin times I don’t put the damn bag on the floor. A syrup container opened...PLUS, there’s a hole in the bag the size of a silver dollar.

The syrup was pooled in the middle crease and along the side creases. Wife and I wiped it up. Used these armorall wipes. I don’t think much or any syrup went into the perforated parts.

So pissed at myself

Floor Jake....always put it on the floor

Looks like everything was perfectly lined up for you today to be in that sticky situation.

I say go buy a lottery ticket!

Mine was the day we decided to stop at a Sonic while on a road trip. While opening the little BBQ sauce thingy the wife lost control. BBQ sauce in the door cubby, and in the little holes of the door speaker cover. Luckily none hit the carpet. I think we have all been through some sort "oh chit" moment like that.

That's why we don't eat in any of our vehicles, my wife and I are both prone to klutz moments. And drinks only in adult sippy-cups

Don't worry, OP-I'm sure that will only happen once.

I am sure you were both calm and respectful to your better half with this little mishap.

Had a similar mess in my previous car. I got some Chinese takeout and put it on the floor in the back seats. When I got home, there was sauce all over the carpet. I actually got my dealer to clean it for me since I didn't want to deal with it. I also bought tons of car deodorizer to get the smell out. The mixture of Hunan sauce and carpet cleaner is extremely nauseating. Now I always keep a collapsible cargo organizer in both of my cars. It will save you a lot of headaches.

My girlfriend dropped a bag from our local Mexican restaurant on the passenger seat trying to get in the vette at the same time I told her to hand it to me standing behind her. Enchiladas salsa and sour cream bathed my passenger seat! Clean rags with water got it all up after much cursing. It amazed me how much sour cream filled the perforated seat holes, but I got it all out with the help of a shop vac.

They're okay - if you eat there. I'm still trying to imagine just how bad takeout food from Waffle House is when you get wherever you're going.

If someone notices and asks, tell them you gave Aunt Jemima a ride and it made her wet.

My Jeep and F250 are the ones that get abused with food, between my 3yr old Granddaughter and our dogs. My GF is about as **** as I am about the vette. Not saying we don't eat in it, but we're careful, then again $hit Happens!

Update

Ants. But I believe the ants were already there. I literally brought the food in and came right back..there were a couple already.

Now?! There’s a bunch. I sprayed bug spray, wiped, cleaned, vacuumed...everything. All over the cockpit. I noticed the little bastards on my hood, a-pillar and windshield.

Washed the car..did a quick coat of sealant. Decided to pop the hood. They were ALL OVER the rubber trim that seals the hood up near the windshield. WTF

Sigh

Sprayed the trim and a few other areas in the engine compartment. Soooooo irritating.

Not sure what to do next. It’ll be with a dealer tomorrow to get the thermostat looked at. I’ll ask them to see if there’s any bizarre stuck in/around/under the car.

Any ideas?

I do NOT believe this is from the syrup fail...just a very sh!ty coincidence.

Be glad you weren't that forum member that had a bottle of wine explode in his trunk a few months back.
