Are Corvettes made for the California market different?
I know that with some brands, they cars or trucks made for the state of California have tighter emissions control equipment than those cars made for the rest of the U.S. Is this true for the new Corvettes? Or are they all the same?

I don’t think they have a different emissions sticker. I think all new corvettes have 50 state stickers. You can buy a car from Kerbeck for example and register it here, no problem, as long as you pay the taxes and fees

No differences, and they all have the same emissions sticker.

When I ordered my 16, I had the choice of 3 different emission packages. I went to the website today, and there are not any choices of emission packages. The only difference on the 16s would have been the sticker and the order that CA was in.
Maybe CA finally got smart and removed the requirement that all new cars had to specify they were CA Smog Legal. Nope, that won't happen.

I live in CA and have bought 5 cars out of state. The dealer has the option to pay extra for the CA compliant sticker. All the cars are the same, but if the car was not ordered with a CA sticker, you can't bring into Ca until 7500 miles on he clock. The big volume dealers always order with the Ca sticker. I have been unable to buy cars out of state when a smaller dealer, unaware, did not order the car with the correct sticker.

So, this used to be a problem. See posts 17 and 19 from This Thread. Now, I believe each vette has the right sticker.

VECI examples
California Emissions example - On this example VECI, you see that the vehicle conforms to both EPA (or Federal) emission standards and California emission standards. ALL vehicles in the US must conform to EPA standards; so this should be present on every VECI. But keep looking for mention of California. If it conforms to California standards, then it is considered to be a vehicle with California Emissions.
From the linked thread, both images from 2009 models for comparison.

The sticker doesnt surprise me in the least. Reminds me of all the Peterbilts and Kenworths that have that stupid fking CARB sticker shaped in the outlined siloutte of California. It looks like **** plastered on the driver side door/fender.
The state has to have its own set of laws, over and above the rest of the country. Hence this thread. All Corvettes are awesome, even those with the proper documentation. PUN there, bwhaha.

Since I just went through this with my 2017 GS, which I purchased from MacMulkin in NH, I have first hand experience, and no it did not have the right CA sticker. I now know exactly what is required, and I just finally received my plates last week. If you buy a Vette without the CA emission sticker, you can still bring it into the state, however it will have to be inspected at the DMV and be required to pass a smog check, which it will likely fail, if it is new and has little mileage on it. Ask me how I know. Should the vehicle fail smog as mine did, you can make an appointment with a state referee and be given a waiver so you can get your plates. In my case, I had to pay CA sales taxes since NH has no state sales tax.

Yes, GM must certify each car is gender neutral. You can't refer to your car as "she" or "he". "She's a beauty" will result in mandatory sensitivity training and 30 days in safe space jail. And please don't ask about "drag" racing. You wouldn't want to know what's required for that.

As I recall, all cars made for the US since 1996 had the same emissions requirements but in regards to california they DID require a separate emissions sticker to state it met california emissions requirements. I have since left that state and have not kept up on their requirements if any.
As for their equipment, all the cars made for the US are the same.
