My drivers door started to squeak. I tried a couple of different lubes to quiet it down with no results. What are you using lube your doors? Maybe I'm using the wrong lubricant, or applying in the wrong area. Thanks.
Hopefully the bottom of your door is not rubbing the sill, that's what was causing the noise on my 17 GS after I drove it home from NCM delivery. Dealer fixed under warranty - door was raised up a fraction to gain clearance (and now aligns better with the front fender) no more squeak.
That's pathetic. The car's practically new. I've got a '00 Silverado that's been outside for most of it's life. None of the hinges (doors, tailgate) have ever been lubed, and they've never made a sound. Ditto for the '69 GMC I had for thirty years, the Accord I had for thirteen years, and the Nissan I've had for nine years.
Blame it on CAFE. They were able to save two grams by leaving off the lubricant.

Just because your hinges are not making noise does not mean they are not wearing and need lubrication. I doubt they are permanently lubricated.
