Finally got my C7
One question - I went through the history before buying the car and noticed the first maintenance was done at 1088 miles. Should I have made this a bigger concern? I know the first oil change needed to be done at 500 miles. The GMVIS report said no warranty block and no previous mods so I should be OK with any warranty concerns right?

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
No worry re 1088 vs 500 miles! The bulletin that came out 13 months after I got my Z51 said; paraphrasing but quoting the last sentence:
"Dry sumps engines may experience oil leaking from air cleaner---This condition may be caused by running the engine continuously at sustained high speeds with the first factory fill---resulting in silicone sealant gaskets degrading the antifoam agents…… The oil foam has no effect on engine durability."
IMO, from following this issue since I got my September 2013 built Z51 C7 the probability of oil "leaking" from the air cleaner due to "running the engine continuously at sustained speeds with the factory fill" is less than dealers overfilling dry sumps!

Since that bulletin didn't come out for 13 months AFTER I got my dry sump I didn't change at 500 miles and never had any oil in my intake air duct! Checked very carefully when I added a low restriction air intake tube and filter-not a drop of oil.
PS: Whoever changes oil, be sure to check the level and NOT use the estimated volume in some table. Many of us fill half way between Min and Max. That is a half quart over Min and below Max. Carefully follow the procedure for checking outlined in the Owner's Manual. The times to check when the oil is hot are critical, after 5 minutes but before 10! Wait longer than 10 and excess oil will drain back to the oil pan and you'll get a false low reading!

That's going to be impossible to answer until your ECM is checked to see if the car has been tuned by the previous owner. I just read a threat the other day where a guy bought used, took car in for warranty issue (engine related) and when ECM was read by GM, they put a block on his warranty for any motor related issues due to car being previously tuned.
My wife works for Carmax, and I asked her what they would do in an instance like this other C7 buyer experienced. She said Carmax only sells cars with FULL warranty capabilities (ie no blocks from manufacturer). She said customer gets 2 choices. Accept the car as is with warranty block, of Carmax will buy the car back for what you paid for it. I would hate to buy a car and fall in love with it then find I have to sell it back because of a warranty block, but it's better than being stuck with a bill to fix an engine because a previous owner tuned the car.
