Windshield replacement
Windshield in my 2015 C7 LT3 Convertible is moderately sandblasted and I'm strongly considering replacing it.
Anyone have experience with this matter?

Not with Sandblasting, but wait long enough and it crack from the inside, at the top of the drivers side. Had mine replaced under warranty. I have noticed that the windshields on the C-7's are softer than the C-6's.

Melting Slicks
Doing it on your own without insurance or warranty assist I bet will be pricey...it will happen again. Might consider taking it to a glass place first and seeing if maybe they can polish it?

Burning Brakes
Had mine replaced under warranty due to delaminating. S/A advised seeing this condition before, and further stated it appears the problem is solved with the updated glass. He also stated the cost would have been $1200.00 just for the glass. Clips and labor were additional.
Finally, after I inquired if the warranty would cover the same condition if it reappeared, he replied in the affirmative, IF it happened during the initial warranty period.
