Battery tender
I have a battery tender that I bought 4 years ago from the NCM. It has alligator clips. I used it on my C6 that had the battery in the engine compartment. I now have a new C7 with the battery in the rear. Question is is there a way I can use the tender on my C7. I checked my manual and didn't find anything in it on using this type of tender.

You'll need to connect a cigarette plug to the clips so you put plug it into the hot socket. Frankly, I'd probably just buy a new tender, really inexpensive. I even have a solar charger.

No need to buy anything, just open the battery compartment in the back and attach the clips directly to the battery, and plug the tender in.

I’ve accessed the battery a couple times. While it’s not difficult, it’s still a PITA. If you’re only using it over winter, then no big deal, however, if charging more frequently, then rear charging port is the better route. You can pick up new C7 charger for $80’ish... a little cheaper if used, or get an adapter as mentioned.

I had the same problem and bought the adapter from battery tender and plugged it right into the back port. Works like a charm

on. I pull from the reel with slack, sure don’t want it to work loose and hit the car so I wind the slack around the mirror
several times of course on the outside of the cover. Works just fine.

Use your existing charger. Clip the red lead to the pos+ terminal at the rear of the underhood fuse box, clip the black lead to ground wherever you want, but the best spot is the tip of the alternator bolt that runs through the mounting bracket.

Yes, you can use the Tender with the alligator clips on your C7. I did for a while before buying one of the GM tenders that plug into the socket in the back of the car. It is so much easier to just plug in the cord to the socket than using the alligator clips IMO.

I used the alligator clips on my C6 never had an issue. I have the Ctek 3300 and now on the C7 I have trouble getting a good connection through the rear plug in. I get a lot blinking lights showing lost connection. After twisting and turning many times I do finally get a good connection where it will cycle consistently. Is a PITA once I do have a good connection I hate to unplug it. Curious if anyone else has this problem
