I have never seen the Gold Class Quik Detailer up here in Canada, I'm using Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Detailer every time I drive my Corvette to remove dust. Have you tried UQD and if so, how does the Gold Class compare to it?

I would assume that using detailer to remove the dust would cause some pretty good scratches, no?
It actually doesn't, as that's the job of a proper detailing spray like those Meguiar's products mentioned above. If you use the correct microfiber towel and a proper amount of spray, you aren't inflicting any damage to the paint. When I had my black C5 I was using the California Car Duster, and it put a ton of scratches on the paint! But with my C6 I have just been using various detailing sprays and microfiber towels and haven't added any scratches to the finish at all.
After reading this thread last night I popped over to Meguiar's online to read the reviews of the Gold Class product and the general consensus is that it's very much the same as their UQD, only that the UQD has more hydrophobic qualities. So I'll stick with UQD as I like that aspect of it a lot (it also compliments the Ultimate Fast Finish product I'm using, which also has great hydrophobic behavior)
I'd do anything to polish now, but it's 0 degrees and 2-3 " of snow. I heard the California Car Duster scratches, YIKES....Anyone one try De-**** (Sp?) I just got some online and have no chance to use in at least 3 months...
