Default Tire pressure for winter storage

Good day everyone. I have heard of many people raising the tire pressure when they put their vettes in storage for the winter to avoid flot spots.

How much preessure do you guys raise the tires to for this?

They’re radial ZP tires. They won’t flat spot whether you leave them at 30 psi or 40 psi.

Tires loose or gain about a pound for every 10 degree change in temperature. Where you live that should not be a big concern. Where I live that could change (Lower) pressure 3 to 4 pounds

They won’t flat spot at 26 psi either.

I pump them up to around 35 psi and in the Spring check them and adjust to 30 psi.

I leave mine at 30 and check them in the spring.

They're ZP tires with sidewalls that support the weight of the car with 0 lbs of pressure. What flatspots to worry about?

TireRack makes no distinction about whether Run Flat or ZP tires will flat spot or not. See below for the experts recommendations....

Tire Rack article is about race tires which will flat spot. Call and ask them if this applies to ZP tires. Inquiring minds need to know.

I add about an extra five PSI to my tires when putting the car in storage. The tires won't flat spot without the extra air, but it also doesn't hurt anything to add the air - just check for proper pressure when taking the car out of storage.

Wrong. To quote the article......"Many heavy-duty, high-performance, high-speed-rated and racing tires have memory".
They are discussing different types of tires.

They are going to lose a little pressure while in storage, so pumping them up is sensible. (I have heard estimates of about one psi loss per month.) However, this isn't a big deal so far as I can tell from experience and my reading.

I set the pressure at 35 psi, which allows me to use the car in colder temps (down to 35 degrees) without it dropping under the recommended 30 psi.
