Second set of tires
I have just ordered a new Grand Sport w/ Z07 package and want to save the cup tires for the track so I am looking to get a second set for daily driving. Any suggestions on wether to go with super sports or a set of all weather or something different. I live in the Northeast but have a second vehicle for winter use for snowy/cold days
Thanks

With the GS or Z06, you don't have many options for tires.
The only all season is a new Michelin, if you can find it.
Z51 wheels will not clear the calipers, so they say.

Currently on 3rd set of MPSS this year on my Z 51 between the track and mostly daily driving so real concerned about saving the Cups for track only (plus getting there and back). May go with MPSS for daily but looking for any other options.

I bought s set of Continental Extreme Contact Sports for the same reason you're thinking of buying a 2nd set. They're pretty nice, Treadwear rating of 340

I just replaced my mpss with the Michelin PS4S which is it's replacement and am impressed with them. They do not come in a runflat and that may be a deal killer for some but they were cheaper than the mpss and according to Michelin, have better wet and dry grip than the mpss. Good treadwear rating too considering they are a summer performance tire.

There are only 4 tire choices currently available for the GS/Z06, OEM PSS, Conti Extreme Contact, Sport Cup, and Michelin Alpin winter/snow tire. There is no all-season currently available for the widebody cars. See link below:

You figure with all the GS and Z06's out there that these tire companies would put out an all season tire. Not all of us live in the southern half of the country.
Sucks when you get a nice sunny day during the winter.

Are you talking about the PS4S, which will ultimately replace the PSS? If so, it's not yet available in a ZP (runflat) version. It is a summer max performance tire just like the PSS, not a UHP all season tire like the AS3+, which is available as a runflat.
That makes the PS4S equally unsuitable in cold weather.

I'm sorely uninformed at this point, Foosh. I know I want the Michelin AS 3 run flats, as soon as I can after buying the car.

There is no "AS4." The PS AS3+ is available in both standard and runflat versions for the Stingray, but not available in GS/Z06 sizes.
It sounded to me like you were confusing it with the relatively new PS4S summer max performance tire, which will ultimately replace the PSS, but not yet as the OEM tire on the C7 because it's not available in a ZP version.
You want the PS AS3+ZP, which is a great year round tire. In semi-sane street driving conditions, I can't tell much difference between it and the PSS even when it's hot. The only time you'd really notice a difference is when pushing really hard on a track on a hot day.
The AS3+ is a relatively new tire, which only became available in fall of 2016. There was an earlier AS3 (without the +) tire, which it replaced.
