Default Seat Removal

My passenger seat ventilation and heating does not work. The switches on the dash light up but no heat or cooling fan, I am assuming the connection under the seat is the issue. Can someone post the procedure for passenger seat removal?
Thanks!

I couldn’t find any, but it’s just four bolts and a couple of harnesses. If I recall, you have to pop the cover off the seat belt and unbolt that if you want to remove it completely. You could probably tilt it back to inspect the harnesses without pulling it all the way out.

Default some advice

i removed my seats to install sound proofing under tbe seats. i learned from the "how to" section on this. There are airbags inside the seats, so disconnect the battery first to avoid errors in the system. 2nd, remove the roof, so lifting the heavy seat out is easier, 3rd, disconnecting the seatbelt is a pain, so dont disconnect then, simply place the seat just outside the car, while rotating the seat 180 degrees. make sure you have space in the garage to do this. 4th, place a towel over the door threshold, so the metal feet from the seat dont scratch the paint.

Default additional instructions

i forgot to mention:
before disconnecting battery, move seat forward to remove rear bolts, backwards to remove front bolts. After disconnecting battery, rock the seat backwards to disconnect wires.

It could be the connection is loose. I would remove the four bolts that holds the seat down and then tilt the seat back and you will see the connector I believe might be yellow.

I would then disconnect and reconnect and see if that solves the problem.....You might want to prop something under the seat so that you can use both hands to work.....You could do with one person but it doesn't hurt to have another set of hands.

If you decide you need remove the entire seat then I would disconnect the battery before removing.

i´m looking for some more headroom. It looks like the 4 bolts (for mounting the seat on) go through a plastic panel (where the cable duct sits on). Could somebody check if its possible to remove it or enlarging the pits surrounding the bolts?

I don’t know for sure but I think there could be some sensors that could impact the computer that tells it when someone is sitting in the seat and to tell you to fasten seatbelts or tighten upon impact as well to turn on airbag for the seats.

If there is some type of sensor that senses when to activate seatbelt and airbag warnings it could or could not be impacted. I wouldn’t want to risk being in an accident and the things designed to protect me doesn’t work.

That’s just my logic and theory as I have know professional experience in the engineering.

Despite its cramped legroom, the C7 has plenty of headroom for most of us. Can you do more with the seat adjustment and angle? Seat recline is restricted as you move the seat further aft, moving it forward a bit can give more recline.

On the C5, the instructors at Spring Mountain told me they removed 2 of the 4 (?) coil tension springs under the seat to allow some sag and get more headroom. Not sure if something similar can be done on the C7.
