Paint the ENTIRE car that color, inside and out EXCEPT the *****, then you'll have the best of both, simple black ***** that really stand out! Good, huh?
I had a BMW with the "Ceramic Controls" option package, which replaced all of the plastic stuff (radio, shifter, iDrive (computer) HVAC, etc.) with ceramic *****. It was a really nice, expensive-feeling upgrade.
Replacing colored plastic with a different color plastic doesn't hold any appeal to me.
Unlike the C6, the C7 does not seem to work well with body colored, or just about any colored interior accent parts.
I added the brushed metal radio ***** to my C7 because they match the other brushed metal in the interior. Wasn't sure I would like them, but they fit in nicely.
I always like to remind myself that the island of Manhattan was purchased with a chest full of bobbles and trinkets. Bling tends to have that effect on a lot of us.

What kind of "hook" do you use to hold the red flag on the steering wheel?
Looks like another way to avoid the Flying Roof Club.

I had that handy Velcro loop laying around from something, and I wish I could remember what, as I would like another one. I think it came with an extension or power cord.
Of course, starting with a basic roll of adhesive Velcro, it wouldn't be that difficult to make something quite similar. Just cut both a hook strip, and a loop strip to the same length, and use the adhesive backs to stick them to each other. Voila!
FYI: The Remove Before Flight tag is actually there to remind me not to back out of my garage with the battery tender still hooked up at the rear, but clearly it could be used for many things. My Grand Sport is a convertible (notice the top up/down switch just left of the steering wheel) so if it joins the Flying Roof Club, I'll have a really serious problem on my hands.
