Any one having brake issues on a new Grand sport? My 2017 was a little over 3000 miles and I am already having brake issues and dealership will not fix it!!
What kind of brake issues are you having? I have '17 GS, but have not had any issues with brakes. I did replace the stock pads with the low dust Carbotech 1521s.

Shuttering when I set up the brake pedal. Was told that I need new brake pads and rotor. no way! It all stems back to the fact that I have a sticker on the car where I went to the GM racing school in neveda and the swear I have been racing the car! I have not raced this car. It is my 3rd brand new vet and I have never had such issues. They brought in an "engineer" who said that they would not touch it - that I am racing the car and riding the brake. I am ready to send a very hot letter to GM.

If I understand you correctly, you have the decal in/on your car from the Spring Mountain driving school, the one GM pays money to have new corvette owners go to, and the dealer is claiming that as a reason to deny your warranty claim?
If so, you definitely need to run this up the chain.
As I recall there are threads in the stickies with the contact information you need.
I've been researching the narrow body cars, but I thought the Grand Sport was also sold as "track ready," similar to the Z51 (maybe not those exact words, but similar sentiment).
You won't get a fresh start since the warranty claim denial and used for racing designation is already on his warranty record. You're sunk as soon as the new dealer sees that.
Back to your brake problem: I've had stuttering brakes on my '17 Z06 since shortly after new. They tried a number of things and finally replaced all the rotors without fixing the problem. This is an A8, standard Z06 with steel rotors. I read in a number of places that azpossible cure for the stuttering was to burnish the brakes using the procedure recommended for the ceramic brake setup of the Z07.
With nothing else to try, I did the procedure: up to 50 cycles of speed to 70MPH, brake Hard to 20MPH, repeat. At some point you wîll smell burning brake pads which is good. Repeat cycles till the brakes start to fade. It may take a while and seem like abuse, but the corvette can take this. Never Stop, you must keep the brakes hot. Once you hit the spot when brakes start to fade, you MUST drive normally until the brakes have fully cooled (15-20 minutes).
This fixed 95% of my problem. I still get a stutter when first braking which changes quickly to full and steady braking. Worked for me, your experience my vary....

Thank you! I will give this a try. BTW the General manager at the dealership has now agreed to replace the rotors as we told him we wanted the reason they would not take care of the issue in writing as we were going to file a complaint with GM against his dealership.

But that is very severe for standard pads and iron rotors however I bedded (not sure why GM calls it burnishing but same thing) the OEM pads on my C7 Z51 using the procedure outlined in the Owner's Manual for Tracking normal iron rotors and pads. I only used about 10 stops not the 25 suggested but eliminated the low speed squeal.
I don't track so switched to Carbotech 1521 pads that stopped 85% of the brake dust and the OEM pad dust pitting my black wheels! Was cleaning the wheels every ~100 miles, a real PIA! They worked so well and stopped better when the pads are cold I put them on my Grand Sport. However they are Street Pads not for tracking.
Recently read that with high performance pads it's important to occasionally use them aggressively or the rotors may build up nonuniform pad material causing vibration. No problem for me as I have several places where I use them hard, almost as much fun as acceleration and legal!

I had read an article somewhere that was making this same suggestion. They were saying that most of the time when people experience uneven braking, it's not due to warped rotors but due to a patch of brake material on the rotor. This can happen if the brakes are sufficiently hot and the car comes to a complete stop and the brakes and left applied for some amount of time (very scientific). This allows some of the brake material residue to stick to the rotor. Then it cools and leaves a sticky spot that causes shuddering when braking. The best way to remove is to use the burnishing procedure.
I am having my 15' Z51 A8 rotors replaced under warranty due to mostly rear shutter as I write. There is a TSB on this. I believe it is only for Z51's with 2 piece rotors, but you should check. Also, I have a friend with a 17' GS who had severe front shutter. GM replaced his front rotors under warranty.
