For those who have chosen to add Carbon Flash (or other color) painted front fender spats, have you had the spats painted after delivery or did you choose to buy them already painted from a Forum vendor? I read earlier threads/comments where some of the pre-painted vendor spats had quality issues. Thanks!
I just purchased some already painted. I plan on having them clear wrapped.
I read about the quality issues as well. The issues I saw looked to be where the spats meet the fender where you have paint on paint. I would say that’s expected over time. I’m hoping the clear film mitigates the issue. I’m not sure if the clear wrap will go around that edge.

Thanks. So basically you have the spats wrapped using the same protective film used on the paint?
I received mine yesterday in the mail from RPI. I ordered the painted carbon flash and the paint is PERFECT (words from my wife). I return from Afghanistan in a couple of weeks from deployment so I will do an install and write-up when I complete it.
