Three times now I have started my 2015 corvette in the last 2 years and the emergency brake is engaged. Does this happen to anybody else?
Are you sure it is the brake engaged and not the regular brake pads sticking to the rotors? This is a common issue when the car is put up wet (after rain or washing) or if the temperature suddenly rises causing moisture to condense on parts that are slow to warm like the heavy metal rotors.
After rain or washing it is a good idea to drag the brakes a bit before parking to heat them up to avoid this problem.
Yes. But it's not a problem. You don't ever have to manually disengage it, actually. It is designed to disengage once there is enough force from the car.
First just semantics, it's not an emergency brake but an Electric Parking Brake. Second the Owner's Manuel is your friend, Pg. 9-35 / 9-36 in the 2015 Manuel "The vehicle may automatically apply the EPB in some situations when the vehicle is not moving. This is normal, and is done to periodically check the correct operation of the EPB system." I believe this carries through MY's of the C7 but may be different pages of the OM.

'cept when it doesn't work in which case you need to manually disengage the ebrake. It happens to me occasionally.
IMHO it should autoengage! And at the same time as when it moves the seat to the exit position. If it's something you do 99% of the time it should happen automatically if possible.
