Phone is connected via Bluetooth but I hear the caller but they don't hear me. Worked great when first got the car, but not so much now. What am I doing wrong...
I'm afraid you'll have to give a LOT more detail than "it's broken" if you would like assistance.
Phone brand/model?
Phone is muted?
Phone has been de-paired, and re-paired to car?
People cannot hear a single sound from your phone, or just that its very hard to hear?
Same behavior in both placed and received calls?
etc
etc
Phone is connected via Bluetooth/paired, I hear them, they don't hear me. Samsung S5.. Worked great for the first year. Is there a setting I need to access. Phone works great in my 2016 Sierra

Try un-pairing and then re-pairing your phone with the car.
As far as I know, there is no bluetooth setting for 'disable phone's microphone' in the C7, so I don't know of a setting that would help in this situation.
Make sure car voice commands work. If they don't it could be your car microphone.
You can also try removing your battery from your phone and let it go through power up and you can also try to disconnect your negative side of your car battery for a minute or two and reconnect it.
About a month ago I had a similar issue pop up with my S7 after over a year of working perfect. Turns out the latest Android update changed a setting that screwed everything up. After the dealer did a software update and it didn't fix it, I went to the Verizon store and the tech guy poked around my phone for about 10 minutes and said try that. I did and it worked. Sadly I can't tell you exactly what setting he changed, but it solved my issues and phone works again with the car either plugged in or bluetooth only. Not a lot of help I know but maybe it can point you in right direction.
There is an Android setting that gives a Bluetooth connection the choice of either Speaker or Speaker/Microphone. I'm sure you can google it to find where it is for your specific Android flavor.

It's amazing how one, or both of these will fix most problems. OP, I had a similar problem in my brides car. Did the phone reboot, problem solved. Another time I just un-paired, and re-paired the phone. Good luck.
