Car Not Being Released For Shipping

QC Hold
thats what i would have guessed but dealer doesn’t know & he says no cars are being released. Maybe they found a problem with a part & holding for replacements.

Yes, quality control hold, held for a week before shipping, I believe.

Supposedly, all the cars produced since the plant resumed production in early Nov after re-tooling were to be held until this week, and they are now being shipped out.

Congrats!
Be sure to give us your impression of the paint job. Very curious to find out if they actual fixed the orange peel problem especially on the sides of the car.

Depending on where your car will be delivered, at this time of year it may sit at the rail yard for a while waiting for enough cars to fill a train car. Mine was produced early last December, released a week later before plant closure, but sat in the rail yard for 3 weeks before shipping.
Hopefully, you won't have that kind of problem.

Because there was an extensive re-configuration of the factory during the plant shutdown that changed how the cars are assembled (for example, the body panels are now much later in the process) the workers have new/different routines. With so many changes, they held shipments until they were comfortable that the reconfiguration/new processes did not introduce any issues.
