hate to ask about a A-8
My car is a 2017 2lt base vert with a build date of sept 16
I now have 11k on my car with no problems, However today I had to run from central fl to south georiga on the interstate.
I set the cruise on 72 mph in sport mode. When the car was under a load (taking off or slight incline) it seemed ok. When the car leveled off the rpms jumped a little up and down. but the car felt like the tires had a buldge in them or I was driving over rumble patches in the road.
I changed lanes same thing. Different road same thing. Enough to feel it in the bottom of the seat like something out of balance.
Those are the exact symptoms of the torque converter "shudder." Have your dealer refer to PIP 337 and TSB 15-NA-016 if they have any questions. As mentioned above, the first step is a "triple flush." If the shudder and rpm fluctuations are not completely gone after 200 miles, the next step is to replace the torque converter. The "triple flush" seems to have done the job on mine. GL
Welcome to the club, as mentioned, you have a bad torque converter. Mine was replaced in early 2016 and my transmission has been flawless since. Your dealer will have to try the triple flush first. Hope this works for you, much better than having to remove and replace your TC. The shudder will get worse if you don't take your car in for diagnosis. Good Luck.
Did GM ever change the torque converters or are they still installing the same ones ? If they did change them what was the cut off date for the old ones?
Fluid flush is just a bandaid fix to get you past 50K miles so you'll have to pay to replace the TC. It cannot possibly fix the worn-out lock-up clutch in the TC.
The power train warranty is 5 yrs / 100,000 miles whichever comes first for I believe the 2014 and 2015 model years. It changed to 5 yrs / 60,000 miles whichever comes first in either 2016 or 2017 if I remember correctly.
If one plans to keep an unmodded auto tranny C7 beyond the 5 yr period, one might consider getting a GMEPP extended service contract from Dennis Fictner, a well known forum vendor to cover the possibility of the STILL unresolved A8 tranny issues.

Good advice. Probably more people keep their cars longer than 5 years vs 100k/60K miles coming first before 5 years. If you have the A8 and plan to keep your car longer than 5 years I would most definitely consider a GM Extended Warranty. I think a new A8 tranny is around 6K without including labor.
After you’ve had the triple-flush band-aid, put the required miles on it, if you are still having problems, and you don’t have a dealer you feel comfortable with taking on th TC replacement, as it is a is major operation. Stingray Chevrolet in Plant City has replaced many of these. They just finished mine about a month ago, and I know they’ve done other forum members.
Good luck!

I went to the dealer today to make an appt for the oil change and told the service writer about my problem. The service writer said that it sounds like a TC problem but he has to wait for the tech to say that. The dealer only has 1 tech that can do that kind of work. So I ask if I should just take the car to a dealer that does a lot of corvettes. He said no that their guy has done quite a few. The writer also said that it was odd that a 2017 corvette was having a problem. Then I told him my car has a build date of sept 2016. I don't care if it's a 16 or 17 it has a problem that needs to be fixed. So I take the car in Tues. Dec 12th

I took my car in for the appt today, After about 3 hours I get a phone call from the dealer.
I was told that my car does in fact have a problem and they have to follow a new TSB dated Dec 1st. They will change the transmission fluid and replace the filter. (I dont remember the name of the fluid he said H something) Anyway the service writer said if that dont fix it then we will replace the TC
