Default Front bumper bra

Thinking of getting new front cover/bra.
GM has a vinyl front cover for C7.

Does anyone have one? Are you happy? Or should I get a Novistretch?

I think they're ugly, but for a track day probably well worth the money. Interested to read opinions of folks who have either. Thanks, OP.

They do look terrible, the GM bra looks better than the Novi and both will offer some protection. Check out the speed lingerie site. They are very expensive, come in colors offer excellent protection and look the best of the rest.

Vinyl/leather Have one, used it once, got caught in the rain with. Want use it again unless on a long road trip. Doesn't stop bugs/leaves/debris from getting to the radiator and sand and bugs will get behind the vinyl/leather part. The Speed Lingerie I can't answer how effective they are but others that have them like them. A new bumper is $400 and painting is $390 don't ask how I know that.

My impression of the Novi Stretch Bra is it isn't good at high speeds. On the highway fine but on the track it would probably restrict cooling air intake and be flopping around in 130 to 150 mph air streams. You need something that doesn't cover the grill opening.

I don't know about the GM C7 Bra but the GM C5 Bras were just about the best you could buy to put on the C5. I used one on my two C5s when ever I took them to the track. It took all of the high speed wind and tire debris for 8 seasons. I had tried an aftermarket bra for a couple of events when I started running the 97 but it fell apart quickly due to lack of proper fastening points. Once I got the GM bra the only thing I had to do was tape the back edges of the bra at the front of the wheel well opening. At high speeds sand and dirt would get thrown forward by the wheel and it would go behind the bra. Green painters tape would prevent that.

I have the novistretch and am happy with it for what it is. Keeps debree out of radiator and helps with bugs but will not offer much protection from rocks or anything of any size you may encounter on the road. Easy on and off and don't really car how it looks, got it for protection and R&R it after a road trip only.

I've had Novistretch on 3 Vettes. Great for long trips but I don't use it otherwise except "butterfly season" in late July where they are thicker than flies.

I have a Novistretch on my 2016 Stingray. I am pleased with it. I keep it on the car whenever I drive it. I have taken it off a few times to clean it. I used it on track day and it did fine with speeds around 150 mph.

I have a Novistretch and use it for long road trips. I'm not a fan of the heavy Vinyl type because if you get caught in the rain you must take it off before the sun comes out and starts to bake water caught between the bra and the body. I seen cars that the paint fogged with a few hours.

With Novistretch that doesn't happen. However the Novistretch will not prevent hard rock chips. The up side of the Novistretch is that it's machine washable. We come home from a road trip and I put it in the wash and comes out clean and like new. It also installs in a minute or two.

So....my choice is for the Novistretch.

I have the GM one. Fit is good and protection is good too. Only use it when I go out of town 'cause it is rather ugly and somewhat time consuming to put on. Comes off real easy. Something is always better than nothing.

Another vote for Novistretch. I only use it for spring/summer road trips where it captures an amazing number of bugs that would otherwise be embedded in your radiator. I remove it for local driving because of the ugliness factor. Very easy on/off. If you are more interested in rock chip protection consider a coating like Xpel. It doesn't help with radiator bugs, but is much better than Novistretch for rocks.

I do not recommend the GM bra at all. It's thin with little backing, and as you see it will not stay in place around the wheel wheels. This damage was after approx. 200 miles on the interstate. If you're looking for a better front bra check out the Colgen. I have one now, it's much better built, thicker with more rear padding, and the hooks are designed so the bra will stay in place. However, I have only test fit it, and haven't had it on the road yet. I will try it next fall on our annual road trip.

Sorry, I tried to post some more pics, but the pic thingy just doesn't want to cooperate. However, both side of the bra look the same. I returned the bra.

I was quoting the guy that said it would be ok for the track. I’d never use it on the street, but not because of overheating.
