Top with a bang

[QUOTE=hondaamer;1596173697]Just got a '15 Vert. Anyone else think the top comes down too hard when you close it?[/QUOTE
Let go of the button when it is about 6"-8" from closed, then press again to close. While closing the top, it tends to pick up centrifugal motion, and will come down with a bang! I cracked my windshield the first night I had mine . You can also slow it down with your hand as it comes down. (It was a bit windy the night I cracked mine), but it won't happen again using this method!

Have a 15 Vert and it definitely closes with a bang. Going on 3 years and no problems or damage.

Same here, done it since day 1. My C6 vert never did this....it is a different closure system.

Mine ('14) usually comes down rather forcefully, but every so often it will just shut silently. I have no idea why for either outcome.

My 15's top comes down a little hard but nothing alarming.

My 17 Z’s top comes down with some force too. I just use my right hand to catch it, then let it continue to close. No damage and no issues.

My 16 also banged down. But after 3 years, it never caused a problem. Seems to be fixed on my 19--the top comes down really gently.
