Hi,

This is my first thread on the forum, I am a relatively new member as I have been following these threads since the C7 Z06 was introduced as I am coming from a 2015 Camaro ZL1 and future Corvette owner (TPW 01/29/2018). I know there are a ton of deals on the C7 currently but I wanted my car spec'd out exactly how I wanted, so I ordered from Camino Real Chevrolet in Monterey Park of SoCal. Camino Real Chevrolet is where I will buy all my Chevy vehicles and cannot express how great they are in service and care! (I do not work for them).

Anyways, I will be using this thread as my Journey thread as I plan to have a lot of fun with this car for 2018.
The driving plan is simple:

-Spring Mountain
-Autocross
-Road Race
-Half-Mile Race
-Travel to multiple states

I would like to stay in that order of the plan but I feel that traveling will come into play before some of the races. Also I do plan on doing modifications between the Road Racing and Half-Mile Racing but am torn because I don't want it to be a full out Half-Mile car for the rest of its lifetime as I am sure I will fall in love with Road Racing.

I will be modifying the car little by little along the way, and will update the list as I buy the products which alot will be bought as soon as the car is in my hands :

1. Signature Wheels SV501 19" (Bought)
2. Toyo R888R (Bought)

I will use this thread to keep track and document as well as ask for input from the community, etc while uploading pictures and most likely videos. Looking forward to sharing my journey with Corvette Forum and am glad to be apart of the community!

Haven't even gotten my car yet and I have already bought some signature wheels SV501 19" with Toyo Tires from Khoa. If you haven't heard of Signature Wheels or Khoa from the forums than you are surely missing out. It has already been an incredible experience just purely due to communication and enthusiasm alone! His products are just as amazing as he is and I cannot give him enough praise for assisting me in my purchase. During my journey I am sure you will see alot of the pictures of my car in his shop ... If you are located in SoCal, I would absolutely implore you to view his products and even visit his cars and coffee every Sunday in OC at Kavacha Coffee House in Orange.

Thanks again for all the help Khoa! See you soon! (I do not work for Signature Wheels).

**More to Come!**

***Car Update 02/14/2018***

Car has shipped (on way to dealer) and hoping to have it by next week!

***Car Update 03/05/2018***

Car has finally reached California and is being unloaded this week. The rail cars to California seem to sit around the GM Kansas Fairplex Assembly Grounds for a bit before heading to the west coast. Finalizing paperwork this week so that when it comes in I just take delivery. The wait should be worth it!

***Car Update 03/07/2018 ***

Car arrived 03/05/2018 20 minutes after writing the update about it reaching California. Picked up the car same day and the next day installed most of the parts I had already acquired. Simple parts so I did not do any write ups. Plan to start the MGW Flat Stick Shifter tonight and plan to do a write up of my install and review vs the factory shifter. I will also be doing the ACS fin install this week and will provide a write up as well.

***More Photos to come!***

@Blue666, Thank you! I hope so too haha it will be a build I haven't seen yet, especially since I went with the Sebring Orange Color. Can't wait to see pics of your car, hope you document your experience on the forum! I wanted to do the engine build option and museum option but decided to put that money towards mods, racing and traveling. Congrats though!

@Maxpowers, The struggle is real! I keep going to bed early so the days go by quicker lol.

@davidtcpa, I will do just that, after that 500/1000 mile break-in period lmao.

You won't be disappointed in your C7 when you get it. Lots of good feedback to be found here. We will want pictures!

Topspot, be sure to keep us updated on the things you add to your car, and how it does on the track. I've never tracked a car, but as you can tell from my avatar, I've roadraced motorcycles quite a lot, and I guess that's why I've never tracked a car. I don't care how fast you go around a track in a car, for me at least, it will never match the exhilaration of 180 mph on a motorcycle with your knee puck scraping the ground. But I do love to hear about people modding their Vettes and tracking them. Good luck with your new baby! Hope she arrives soon!

Definitely not haha and since I am in California, there is no true Winter lol. It does get cold though so I won't be risking my life with cold tires thats for sure lol.

I hope not haha, another challenge will be that I am 6'3 and need to see how it will be on long distance drives. I also opted for the GT seats for maximum comfort for at least my passenger, I do plan on buying the competition seat backs if I don't like the GT seats during autocross.

But don't worry, there will be plenty of pictures!

Thanks! I am anxious to see how the color combo I chose is going to come out, I haven't even seen the color in person but I always wanted the Inferno Orange ZL1 when it came out and didn't want a C6 at that time but I am glad they came out with a new orange for the C7 so I had to jump on it lol.

Yes sir, I will be using this thread as information from the cosmetics on my car which will start the same day I receive the car, to the performance modifications. I have a nice cosmetic/small performance build list that will likely hold me over for about six months maybe, then will most likely start my performance adventure. These Fuel challenges with high horsepower are a bit scary for my current budget as I don't have it factored in quite yet but I am trying for a no meth Flex Fuel build.

Man I am sure that is a pure adrenaline ride for sure! I always tip my hat to motorcycle riders/racers because it is literally just you and the road. Sending you a message.

Thank you everyone for the great positive feedback!

Default Updated Original Post

New Updates for February 2018 in original post. The car has been built and is currently at Event Code 4B00 and has been at that code since 01/30/2018. Anyone know how long it can typically sit at this code for?

Added the last bit of parts ordered to the parts list as well as car update. The plan is installing all parts myself along with reviews and some of the processes I took.

Trying to hold off on performance mods as I want to take the car to the track stock and review the changes but the mod bug is slowly infecting me when I look at mod videos lol. I am holding in there though!

It truly is stunning in person, even in the different shades of light. I knew I had to have it once I saw it on the little “C8” mold lol
