Default Anyone know which part is this?

I scratched this part on my c7 going over a bump, not too hard, but I heard it getting scratched. Anyone know which part is this? And what it does?
Thanks!

On C5s and C6s its referred to as the radiator support bracket, I assume it is the same on C7s. I scratched it on both of mine I just painted it with a foam brush and flat black rustoleum paint. It matched very well problem solved. If you hit it hard enough to break it that's another matter. C5s were steel, C6s were aluminum I would imagine C7s are aluminum.

The front fascia has to come off to replace it (probably a couple hours labor). I have seen prices for the part ~$300 if I remember correctly. Overall not cheap. Just paint it and be done with it (if it's not broken). That's what I did , so far I have not scratched it on my 17 GS.

It is ok to scratch these - they are made to take it. It will happen in normal use. No harm done....
