Default 2018 paint

What's the story on the new factory paint process? Are all colors being done or only a select few? I saw my new 18 GS under showroom lights today and it looked pretty good. Orange peel was present, but looked better than other earlier cars I've seen. Am I just hoping my car has the new paint application?

My new 2017 vert has areas almost 100% orange peel free.

Though it's not as bad as other 2016s & 2017s I viewed while shopping the model, it's prevalent in many other areas.

Others are reporting 2018 orange peel, so, it's still out there. ....

All of the 2018s built after the plant re opened have gone through the new paint facility, with the possible exception that some of the first 75 or so cars that were for the captured test fleet might have been done in the old plant (but these cars are being driven by GM execs right now) I am extremely impressed with the paint on my Torch Red 2018, it is super smooth!
