The 4 blaring trumpets are the most out of place things on the car. Literally, nothing else aside from the wheels are round. Why are there 4 ugly round exhaust tips and why doesn't anyone make an aftermarket set of tips that don't require replacing the entire exhaust? Or is there one I can't find?

What the designers were thinking is beyond me...
Or it could just been a cost-cutting move by going to the GM parts bin.

Hey, on my all black car, I'd settle for black trumpets as opposed to the 4 bright tips that look completely out of place. Love my NPP/Corsa midpipe combo, not swapping my mufflers, so I guess I'm stuck with tips that ruin the all black theme.

I like the large diameter (4) pipe set-up. Not sure (4) square would look good, perhaps rectangular, however limited space and neither would look good IMO with the inverted 1/2 triangle shaped space the pipes occupy (which I also like). They are tucked under so the trumpeted tips at lease draw your eye to the exhaust which contributes to the C7's bad-*** look.

The tips go right into the muffler, two of which have valves. The only way to do it and retain NPP mufflers would be to cut and weld each tip individually. No way to do it otherwise and not get a different exhaust. Stock tips vs Flowmaster tips used for Muffler Delete. I like the flows better.

Maybe you could rig up some of those old school bow tie tips the C4 guys used to run

If your OCD, could be a concern. If they were square even a small misalignment would be noticed!
To get another shape you'd have to remove the lower rear bumper and get a Sawzall or plasma cutter! Would not want to have to cut through the existing tip or pipe with a hacksaw!

Corsa or Borla make black tips for the guy that wants the blacked out look. Exhaust tips are round as pipes are round. Maybe you want square exhaust? I like the look exactly how they are but I guess you can't please all the people all the time, you can only please some of the people some of the time.

As for the design, GM tried rectangular tips on the later C4s. Even some of the C4 owners poke fun at them. GM tried oblong tips on the C5, they get a negative vote with some frequency. I don't recall seeing any negative threads about the round exhaust tips on the C6. Maybe GM just listened to owners and decided any shape other than the common round tips is objectionable. As for trumpets vs straight pipes, all you have to do is search this C7 forum to find threads about how owners favor the trumpets of the NPP system vs straight, round pipes of the non-NPP.
This is the first thread I've read complaining about the trumpets. I guess you can't please everyone.
Borla and Corsa make replacement systems with different tips, but you have to buy the entire system. Because the NPP valves are so close to the tip I don't think you're going to see an inexpensive tip replacement like you'll find for traditional exhaust systems. Interesting, I don't think anyone makes a replacement for the non-NPP system. Maybe there's no demand.
As for my vote, My trumpets will stay unless I do a catback system, and that one will have to have trumpets.

I also have a blacked-out Z06, so the shiny chrome exhaust tips don't really fit the look.

I would think that would kind of make them go away visually, and I like the looks of the (4) pipes.

It does look good.

You may want to paint the muffler ends black as well.
Lower rear bumper removal here.

Interesting exhaust tips on that "Yenko Grand Sport" picture thread that's been floating around the last few days. Rest of the car, maybe not so much, but the exhaust tips look pretty cool:
