Since GM. Now has a different carrier for their Proection Plan GMEPP. Does anyone know if the old plan by Ally GMPP (that I have) will change as far as the amount and type of coverage I was promised when I took out the Ally warranty. I would hate to think Ally can now do whatever they want to my coverage options since they are no longer affiliated with GM.

Nothing changes for plans that have already been purchased, except for some of the administrative functions that you don't deal with.
On our 2009 we had the old GMPP (now Ally) plan, when it expired we bought the new Chevrolet (GMEPP) plan. Never noticed any difference.
The new GMEPP covers mag ride shocks, and pays a higher labor & parts rate to the dealer doing the work. You can buy slightly longer coverage months/miles on the Ally plan. Otherwise, they seem identical.
Because of the extra coverage and higher payouts, the GMEPP plan (available through Dennis Fichtner on this Forum) costs about 10% more (compared to the Ally plan through our local dealer), but I thought it was worth the extra money and I bought that one for our 2017. Replacing one mag ride shock more than makes up the difference.
