The instructions that comes with the car's "maintainer" gave me the impression that it could...oh well.
A maintainer will charge your battery but very slowly, since it is engineered to maintain an already charged battery. If it is stone dead, the diagnostic capability in a CTEK maintainer will not let it even attempt to charge your battery, as 2K14C7 says. If you look at the leds on the maintainer after you charge it you will be able to tell you if your battery is viable or not and you can just go from there. Don't let the dealer push you into doing something you don't want with that beautiful car.
When my battery died after only 3 months, Chevy Roadside Assistance sent a guy out with one of the portable battery thingees. He used it to start the car and I drove it to the dealer where they replaced my battery. Be aware that when you do hook up one of these battery thingees, you need to wait for a couple minutes before you try to start the car. All the electronics need some time to stabilize. Also, you may find your settings will have to be reset on some items. At least this was my experience.
I let the car charge all day on a REAL battery charger.
Monday I'll see if it held the charge and will take into the dealer and let my guy deal with it.
My '17 GS battery had no problems in CA weather after a 4-week vacation last Sept./Oct. Started right away. Can't say the same for my fob which decided to die during my vacation. lol

If it starts, don't shut it off till you get to the dealer

Was the battery replaced under warranty?
My battery died after 1 month [4 days since driven last & not on a tender]. Car was garaged and outdoor temps were in the 50s. CRA jump started my '17 stingray and it now seems fine on a tender. Not sure if my local dealership would charge me to test the battery.
Just buy a new battery and chuck the old one. Unless you have AAA, the battery will be cheaper than the tow. (Not to mention less possibility of damage to your $80K car.) . Also, order a CTEK battery tender for the new one so that you don't have to go through this ordeal a second time.
He has a CTEK. It came with the car. He said that in his initial post.
