Has anyone installed a rear spoiler GM # 22908983. It's called a high wing spoiler but to me it's quite low. Of all the C7's I've seen, I cannot find a picture of one with this wing installed. I know it's a matter of preference, I have a 17 Stingray 3LT in Blade Silver and I like the looks of this one.
Walt, I've seen pics. of yours and the wing looks great. Do you know how many holes had to be drilled to mount it? I've never seen a photo up close where it fits around the center brake light.
I don't know but really who cares. Once you put it on, it's never coming off. They will give you a template of where to drill if you decide to do it yourself. Or let the dealer do it, that's who installs all of them. I did my C6 with the "racing spoiler" but you just had to drill holes and take out the tail lights. You have to remove the bumper cover to properly install these. I'd let the dealer do that.

It obviously requires fewer holes than the standard Z51 spoiler since it only touches the bumper at the ends of the wing...
I'm a do it yourself person. I’ve communicated with Forum member Robert Miller about removing the rear bumper and he has been very helpful. I’m just curious is where to approx.drill. I’m thinking one hole on each end and the other very close to the middle brake light. I don’t want to pay anyone to do this. Some installations show only a partial removal of the bumper while using a flange nut to make installing easier.
I’ve stated in other spoiler related posts that I believe a spoiler ruins the beautiful contours of the back end. That said, “if” I were to install one it would be the high wing spoiler.

I'm sure that installation instructions come with the unit and part of that is paper drilling template that you tape to your bumper cover where instructed and the drill points are clearly marked because that's its only purpose. There is no guessing as to where to drill.

Once you do the "partial removal" of the bumper it is very simple to go the rest of the way. Disconnect a couple of plugs, disconnect the trunk release cable, and de-mount another connector. So, maybe 5-10 minutes more work and you get to work on the installation in a much easier fashion, in my opinion. I replaced a Z51 with a Stage 3 spoiler so no drilling for me. Good luck!
Ditto on that I have a Z51 spoiler but thought the high wing looked cool. I have seen a high wing spoiler with Z06 flaps added to it that also looked cool.
In Everett, WA before I bought my 14 there was a 14 Crystal red vert with the high wing i saw a couple of times.
I like the Z51 spoiler that I had on my 2014 Z51 Stingray but like my Z06 stage 1 spoiler too. I would not want to drive a Corvette with a spoiler bigger than my stage 1 Z06 spoiler. JMHO!
