Yes to semichrome and micro or whatever.....I act like a shoe shine and works fine.
I also use the Mothers tapered polisher for drill and clean and shine the inside.

Hey Joe! How have you been? I have a few touches planned but I don't intend to go overboard like I did on my 08. The other big difference is, this one is not going to sit all polished up in the garage. I am going to drive the wheels off of it.
