Default Hankook Tires

Traded my C6 for a 15 Z51 coupe with 15K miles on it 3 months ago and haven't been able to drive it much because of below zero temps and snow.

It has Hankook Ventus V12EVO2 tires on it. 245/35ZR19 93Y frront and 285/30ZR20 99y rear all with excellent tread and even wear.

Can anyone tell me if these are runflats and/or summer only tires.

I thought that only Michelin and Goodyear were OEM.

According to google they are a performance summer tire. Not run-flats.

They are summer-only tires, not run-flat, and not factory. Someone put some cheap tires on your car before selling it I tried a set of those once on a previous car and hated them.

I agree with Kracka, but I've heard some series H's aren't bad. Which that or those were, however, is another issue and I've no idea. You must have driven it before you bought it; so, what do you think?

I had Hankook on a 2006 Corvette I had and I drove it year round. The tires did great for me. I put them on my wife's Trailblazer SS and got about 45,000 miles out of them. They preformed great on the SS also.

They appear to be a Korean firm with plants in Korea, China, and Indonesia. They do have a worldwide presence.

Really nice all-around summer tires, not truly max-performance, should get decent tread life and good wet & dry performance
Not meant to be driven at or below freezing but it probably won't hurt them either.
Zero zilch nada grip on ice/snow.

I always look for Hankooks first due to their usually low prices. I never been disappointed on any car or truck riding on them. However, if they are priced within $100 of a set of Michelins the M's win every time.

Had them on a 2010 Hemi Challenger.. Good all around tire for Texas. Only down side was they took about 10 miles to get warm.

I have Yokohamas on my 08. Great all around tire. Traction pretty decent as I ran 12.40 at the track with no mods. I didn't even drop the tire air pressure.

They are not cheap tires. The new Evo version 2's are great Summer Tires. I ran them on my C6 Z06 and they were great. Excellent dry weather traction and performance. Real good in the wet too. I do believe they wear quicker than say Pilot Super Sports would but they are also 65% of the cost.

Korean manufacturing is quite good. Many high end American products use Korean manufactured parts.

I wouldn't call Hankook tires cheap. I had a set on a F-150 Lightning, and they were great tires.

I had a set on my 13 GS and they worked great. Never had them in temps below 20 but they were fine then. Lots more traction than the factory Goodyears and looked like they were going to last well but I traded the car.

Hankooks are not a cheap quality tire. They make a good product. Compared to the Pilot Sports though.....they don't perform as well. But they cost a lot less.

I replaced my run flats on my 2016 Stingray with these tires and could not be happier ! I had them on my C5 also so didn't hesitate to put them on my C7. They are smooth and quiet and handle just fine.
