Default Recommended radiator fluids

Is there any specific Radiator fluid recommended by Chevy to use in the C7?
If not, is there any recommendation from you guys?
Thanks in advance.

DEX-COOL® mixed with distilled water.

What year is yours? What mileage?

It should be flushed/changed every 5 years (or every 100,000 miles).

I do mine more often in everything.

I even run that stuff in every motorcycle I build.
I like the coolant tank looking like it has orange Fanta in it. Delicious!

If you don't want to mess with mixing, get DEXCOOL® 50/50 mix and use that. But that's almost twice as expensive as mixing your own. Pure DEXCOOL® plus a gallon of distilled water is usually <$2 more than a gallon of 50/50 (half as much coolant).

First of all, Dex-Cool is an antifreeze additive, it doesn't help cooling in the least. It actually transfers less heat than water. If you aren't keeping your car outside in below zero weather, just use 10-20% anti freeze, one or two bottles of water wetter, or purple ice, etc , and the rest plain old water. The small percentage of antifreeze and water wetter will protect your cooling system from corrosion, and keep the water pump seals lubricated. The water wetter (think water softener) will break down the water's surface tension and allow the water to get into the small crevices and graining of cast metals, which keeps hot spots from forming.

.... Corvette owners overthink everything.... they are cars.... treat them as such.
