Caliper covers
Has anyone bolted on a set of after market Caliper Covers? Wondering how they actually look in person as opposed to the pictures the various Vendors post

I think they always look fake. I really dislike them, and they also interfere to some extent w/ the caliper's ability to shed heat.

They look pretty bad. They look horrible in vendor pictures and even worse in person.

I don't really understand them. We already have some good looking Brembos, why cover them up?
If it is a question of color, get some of that caliper paint and paint them.

Jness, I’m assuming he has a base model and wants the brembo looking covers? Correct me if I’m wrong. I think the base model calipers look fine. Adding covers will draw more attention to them, but will end up with the spectators laughing and clowning them. It’s the equivalent to putting a sock in your underwear, only to have the sock fall out of your trousers in front of everyone.

Thanks, you guys confirmed my gut feeling....that they look cheesey in person. Think I will just go ahead and paint mine.

My point of view:
They already come painted.
You can't see them from the driver's seat, so what's the point?
Why spend $15 on high temp paint when you can spent $600 to order them in a different color from the factory?
But more seriously, do whatever you want. It's your car.

They're often not painted on base cars.

Saw a maroon C5 with yellow caliper covers yesterday and even my fiancee commented on how cheesy they looked.
