Boring question, but which LEDs are you all using for the license plate? Cool blue (~6000k) only, please.
I got my first set from a forum vendor and they died within two years. Bought reaplacements and they're flickering again after maybe 4-6 months. Ridiculous low lifetime for LEDs.
Ended up getting a pair. I think they look to be higher quality than the ones I got off a forum vendor. The LEDs are fully enclosed instead of being exposed on the previous ones. This might make more of a difference for the license plate bulbs which are really only quasi-enclosed from the elements.
Thanks again!

Why improve the lighting on your license plate? Afraid it can't be read easily by LEOs?
1) aesthetics. All other exterior lights are LED. Why did GM skimp on the license plate lights? 2) correct. Non-working tag lights will get you pulled over. I'd prefer longer lasting and brighter LEDs. I'd rather have the LEOs clearly see my tags, thx for playing.
Which Brand did you buy that failed within 2 years ?

Just replaced both cargo and license plate bulbs with LEDs...
These Pure White LEDs (5500K / 54 lumens) from Diode Dynamics match the LED map light color perfectly (no blueish tint) and are brighter than the OE incandescent bulbs...I wouldn't want them any brighter than this....
