The rear wheel on the other side of the car is likely spinning the opposite direction as the one you're turning by hand.

You won't be able to move the tires because with it (in gear) you will be connected to the engine.

The car is in gear and yes I know the wheel on the opposite side will turn in the opposite direction; but why with eLSD do the wheels turn by hand with it in gear and both rear wheels off the ground ? My other manual cars you could not do this when they were in gear.

eLSD would be disengaged with the power off, I'm guessing. In which case it works like an open diff, allowing the wheels to rotate in different directions even in gear.

Have someone hold the other wheel, you won't be able to turn it then.

What kind of diffs were in the other cars? When you have an open diff and spin one wheel by hand while the clutch is engaged with the transmission in gear the opposite side wheel will turn the opposite way. That is the nature of differentials. A locked diff won't turn and a regular LSD diff may not turn either as it can take a fair amount of force to overcome the clutch resistance. I suspect the eDiff is more like an open diff as long as the power is off and the clutches aren't engaged.

My C5 6sp manual you could not rotate wheels when in gear or could with great effort to overcome clutch resistance but the eLSD has hardly any resistance when in the air and no power so works like an open diff.
