Default Side skirts

I'm thinking of putting side skirts on my 2017 Z51. I have carbon flash mirrors and spoiler. Would carbon fiber skirts look ok or should I go with carbon flash?

I'd go carbon flash if I were you but to each their own.

I got caught in the carbon fiber mania with my 2014! Ordered the OEM visible CF roof (~$1900) so got CF side skirts from LG Motorsports (~$1800) then though it needed a CF Splitter for visual balance (bought a combo fiberglass/visible carbon fiber with end plates from C7 Carbon ~$700.) Then that chrome grill bar looked funny and with all the investment in CF, no way tape be acceptable! Bought a real CF cover (on sale for ~$250!) So then why not add a CF hood vent (~$400!) Adds up!

For my Grand Sport ordered the GM carbon fiber Stage 2 aero package to get full length side skirts for max rocker panel protection but selected painted carbon flash. The strength of CF with carbon flash finish that matches the spoiler and lower rear bumper, saved $1000. No compulsion to add any more Carbon Fiber! But, just ordered a painted carbon flash rear diffuser!

All Real Visible Carbon Fiber

GM Stage 2 Aero Option. Carbon Fiber Painted Carbon Flash! Matches rear spoiler.

I have body colored mirrors and spoiler on my current Vette and went with the Carbon Fiber. My other Vette had Carbon Flash Mirrors and spoiler and I went with the Carbon Flash.

Carbon Flash gets my vote always cause it matches the rear valence panel.

Easy choice for me, carbon flash. I like the looks of side skirts on Stingrays!

Carbon fiber visible looks really good ... UNTIL it needs repair --- then you are completely screwed ... no repair possible to maintain carbon fiber visible finish. Only option then is ... replace OR refinish and paint with ... carbon flash.

FWIW, carbon fiber visible may work out alright for areas not likely to encounter or be subjected to road debris or owner impact --- likely candidates would be the roof, hood insert, and maybe the rear spoiler. Similarly (and using that same logic), painted carbon flash would seem to be the best finish option for the front air splitter and the side skirts.

But that's just me thinking out loud ... owner is free to insert new logic wherever he/she wishes ...

I have a mix of APR Carbon Fiber parts and thinks it blends very well with my Carbon Flash and has a nice balance.

By the way, I don’t have Carbon Fiber in areas where they can be easily damaged IE: Side Skirts and Front Splitter.

Carbon Fiber Hood Vent, Carbon Fiber Mirrors, Carbon Fiber Spoiler
Carbon Flash Splitter/Winglets, Carbon Flash Skirts, Carbon Flash Rear Scoops

Thanks for the input, guys. I found some fiberglass skirts that I'm going to have painted carbon flash.
