So I’m not happy with the OEM Bose radio. My main complaint is that I listen to a lot of talk radio and even with the bass turned all the way down its still boomy. Is there anyway to turn down the bass further past the factory setting? Would a “sound guy” know how to maybe finagle something? Or are there any other options as far as head units go? My only concern is what about the PDR and cameras ETC, I wouldn’t want to lose any of those things. Thanks
^^^ This. Most of the “boomy” is coming from the the lower door speakers... and if you have the 2 & 3 LT/LZ, then it’s also coming from the rear 8” sub.
Corvette has a radio? Huh. Been listening to the exhaust myself. Rarely use it as the music is annoying and the talk stuff? Nah. My suggestion is turn off the radio. Radios are for pickups and SUV’s.
I think there has been a recent move toward overdriven bass in most audio products, which I find annoying as did you. I was able to minimize it by adjusting the equalizer, reducing the bass to minimum and adjusting the mid-range as necessary to "trim" the sound... May need to return to "normal" for music...
Turning down the mid-range to about 35%, Treble at 90%, Bass at 50% and shifting the fader forward a couple of clicks helps the Bose Premium system (2LT/Z and above) a lot.

Responses like this make me laugh. So on a highway drive or in traffic you're listening to nothing but the sound of your exhaust?
