I use the back of my second knuckle on my middle finger right at the top of the door. Hate finger prints when I just cleaned it.....

Noobs. I'm posting from inside my car right now. The easiest solution: just don't get out...ever.

In all honesty, though, with my black car, this one bugs me too. I use the little trim between the window and the door.

I use the back of my hand to slam the door shut. No fingerprints and no chance of catching fingers in a loop and getting them caught in the door. Had that happen a few times when I was a kid and it hurts like hell to get your fingers smashed in the door.

The oil from your fingers will eventually wear thru the clearcoat. 🤓

I used to worry about this then I discovered these:
Amazon Amazon

I used to dispose of them after each use but now I have them professionally dry cleaned.

On a road trip the car gets dirty and fingerprints multiply not only on the door but the center multi function screen also gets quite messy. A fact of life if you are truly enjoying your Corvette.

Same. Knuckle on my index fender right above the door trim on the glass. No marks at all.

Threads like this demonstrate why Corvette owners have a bad reputation with the general public.

I use my palm on the edge of the door. My mom just grabs the top of the window. I've asked her not to, but I can't be mad. I'm just happy to still have her around. It's funny how the older you get, the more you appreciate family...

I push the door shaped button on the key fob and the door closes itself.

Also demonstrates why some C7s looks so much nicer than others. It has to do with some owners caring how their car looks and others not caring.

Fingerprints/smudges look like hell on the side of a nice car, so if they can be eliminated with no real extra effort, why not?

True.

My mom enjoyed riding in my red Vettes up until she was 95 years old. When I’d accelerate quickly, she’d pretend to want me to slow down, but I know she was enjoying it. She’s been gone just over 2 years now and I miss her every day.

Enjoy your mom while you still can!

Our Victory Red C6 didn't show fingerprints much, and it had the black door pads to close with. Easy.

Our Long Beach Red C7 shows every fingerprint anywhere on the car, so I have to use the silver fitting on the back of the door. This and the 2-finger-only door opening are just some of those "WTF were they thinking?" items on a great car.

You all are missing the elephant in the room:

HOW DO YOU OPEN AND CLOSE THE FUEL DOOR? Nothing in there you can grab and sling shut.

I use my index finger knuckle. leaves no mark.
