I had to get a new FOB for my C7 GS. While attempting to program the new FOB, I set off my alarm a couple of times before figured out leaving FOB at least 10' away from car. All went smoothly and started my car and drove home. However, every time I get in car now my security light is on (lock over car light), and I get the theft deterrent system needs service light as well and I have to hold the start button for 12 seconds to clear the program mode before I can start my car. Anyway I can reset all this stuff? Or should I just take the car to the dealer and them figure it all out. Can't find any help in the manual and only got 4 weeks left on warranty!!

yes, programmed a brand new OEM FOB. It works fine.

Just for fun - disconnect the negative battery cable for 30 minutes. This will force a reset of all computer modules and it might solve your problem.

It is best if you open the windows before you disconnect the battery just to ensure access to the car. You will need to reindex (reprogram) the windows.
