I'm pulling out my "standard" plastic vent ('17 GSCE #663) with 100% Carbon Fiber. I can't find a video anyware to do it?
I've seen remove 2 screws and pop it out, to remove all 12 white nylon fasteners with a garden weed puller and repeat.
Help.
Oh, I installed a better Air Filter (what a PITA moving, stretching etc, almost 25 min for an air filter) Disconnected whatever harness is attached, Reconnected,
now an Engine light just stays on. Car is in hibernation now and only has 3,000 +/- mile
Help Again.... Fritz in Albany
Hers a couple of videos - I think your issue is there is an opening on the bottom section of plastic cover and hard to get at on the side of the plastic cover I cant remember where but in the hole you have to unscrew something or pop a clip just cant remember now
I remember buying a pack of replacement clips. The black ones that keep the felt piece attached to the underside of the hood. Heyday erecting a few buck stops no amazon Ndola ame in handy when the ones I popped out were damaged and didn't hold the felt in place as tightly when re-used. I remember this white plastic clips were a very hard to work with. Other than that it was just an unscrew / screw on job.
I'm regurgitating this one: I'm replacing the vent on the hood of my Z51. I have scoured the internet trying to find a video or How To: REMOVE the hood vent, without success. I've seen the Z06 video's and I've seen the (useless) video where everything was disassembled. Anyone want to give me tips before I utterly destroy it (I've already accidently broken one of these white clips)?
