Default 3rd brake light decal?

I was looking at a few threads on the Stingray Forum (yes I go to the dark side from time to time) and happened across this picture.

Is that just a 3rd brake light overlay where it says Stingray? Or is it another mod I am not familiar with?

I like it on that car quite a bit but I can't make up my mind if it's a tad too "racer boy" for my taste. What do you guys think of it?

I’d bet it is a decal. Not really something I would put on the car, but it is not hideous either. If you like it, go for it. It can always be removed if you later decide it is not for you.

The C7 is a sports car and looks great but it also is classy looking I feel like, some of these decals take away from the car.....I guess that's my opinion anyway.

It's only $25.00, maybe I'll order it and see how it looks. Like you said it can always be easily removed. I just hate that whole "ricer" or "racer boy" look. In the picture it looks ok but in person I'm not so sure.

There was a thread a year or so ago, where quite a few members bought the decal and some actually looked pretty good. Don't know if those members left them on or eventually removed them.

Tried it. Took it off. The LEDs don't spread the light to fully illuminate the overlay. It looked stupid and partially lit. Yanked it off and filed it in the circular file.

Decal and looks okay. Certainly does not add anything to the overall look of the car.

Nope... IMO the rear end view is busy enough without adding any more "stuff"...

I have had one on my car for a couple of years. I like it, but it is starting to peel off in one corner. Haven't decided if I am going to replace it or not..

Have one and it is not "racer boy" to me. Very subtle IMHO, just an additional badge for the Stingray.
BTW, love your license plate....mine says NORSKE! UFF DA!

You do have to position it just right for all letters to light up, I was on the fence until the last car show I attended. I do like the decal. Wish we could design our own wording.

I love mine and people always comment positively on it especially when they see it light up and at least 30 people have asked me where to get one.

OP, you have just encountered what typically happens when asking on the forum if others think a particular modification will look good. More often than not, it is a near 50% for and against. I say do what you like, it is not likely that you will run into more than a handful of forum members that voted either way. Keep in mind, there are some people that will always say no to "any" modifications (their right to think that way).
