Default Okay, perhaps minor, but irritating issue

I've had the black Grand Sport for a month now and only 260 miles.

I've had only 4 people in the passenger side in the last week...basically to show the car off. And tonight, since the last car wash a week ago, I notice while washing the car, a big paint scuff on the passenger side skirt. I'm sure some one stepped on it while getting in or out of the car.

What's the best remedy for dealing with paint scuffs on your Vette?

Loaned the C7 to my best friend, who has PTSD from repeated combat tours and requires a service dog, for two weeks and, yes, the dog rides in the front seat - large dog too.

They're just cars.... feel the same way about my Ferrari - it's just a car too....

I always remind passengers to be careful not to step on the side skirt when entering and exiting, which understandably can happen if they’re unaware... and even then, they’ll occasionally catch a heel or toe on it as it can be awkward.

I find that the below works well on removing scuffs:

Had Xpel installed on mine before I mounted them on the car. Even I brush up against hem occasionally but the Xpel protects them.

As poster 3 recommended. Scratch X20. Great stuff! That product is the reason my car is scratch and swirl free. (for the most part)

Another vote for Meguiar's Scratch X 2.0, then apply a good wax.

Meguiar's Scratch X 2.0 should fix it up for you.

Good remedy.

And, whatever else, simply teach/tell people how to get in correctly and remind them when they exit. Not a big issue. I've a Series1 Excalibur roadster with functional side-exhausts and I ALWAYS let people know they are HOT! Same with your skirts, imho. Best of luck!

Good idea...tell passengers the side skirts are HOT...they aren't likely to know any better!
